Questions parents ask us

We are open at 16011 83 Avenue in the Fleetwood neighbourhood of Surrey, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Spaces are limited, so book a tour and join the enrolment list.

Use the form on our Book a Tour page, or call 604-503-0149, or email info@fleetwoodchildrenscentre.com. We will set up a time to walk you through the centre, meet you and your child, and answer every question you have.

We offer two programs: an Infant and Toddler Program for children 0 to 36 months, and a 3 to 5 Years Program for older children. Both run Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

After your tour, you can join our enrolment list for the program that fits your child's age. We offer spaces in the order families joined the list, and we keep you updated so you are never left guessing.

Every child starts with a gradual entry. Short visits come first, often with a parent nearby, and we build up to full days as your child gets comfortable. It makes those first drop offs much gentler for everyone.

Days blend free play, small group activities, outdoor time, meals and rest. Infants and toddlers follow their own rhythms for feeding and naps, while our 3 to 5 program follows a gentle routine with circle time, learning centres and daily outdoor play.

Yes, rain or shine. Fresh air is part of every day, so please send boots and a rain jacket in the wet months. We only stay inside when weather is truly unsafe.

A change of clothes, indoor shoes, weather gear and any comfort item your child loves. Families in the infant room also bring diapers, wipes and bottles or formula. We will give you a simple checklist before your first day.

You hear from us every day. Infant and toddler families get updates on meals, naps and diaper changes, and every family gets the little stories that matter, like a first step or a new friend.

Yes. We are a licensed centre under Fraser Health Community Care Facilities Licensing, which sets and inspects standards for staffing, safety, space and programming in Surrey child care centres.

Our educators hold Early Childhood Educator certification with the BC ECE Registry, along with first aid training and clear criminal record checks. Infant and toddler staff carry the additional Infant Toddler Educator training.

We follow Fraser Health illness guidelines. Children who are unwell rest at home until they are ready to play again, and we always call you promptly if your child becomes sick during the day.

Yes. The benefit is paid to us directly by the Province and lowers what you pay each month. Once you are approved, give the Director your authorization number. Until the approval arrives, full fees apply, and the benefit must be renewed before it expires. Families earning up to $111,000 a year may qualify.

Yes. We are an opted-in CCFRI provider, so the reduction is built into your monthly fee automatically and there is nothing to apply for. Full-time savings are currently up to $900 a month for children under 36 months and up to $545 a month for ages 3 to kindergarten.

A one-time non-refundable registration fee of $150 and a 50% non-refundable deposit secure your child's spot, and the deposit is applied to your first month. Fees are due on the 1st of each month. Monthly rates are shared on your tour.
